Collaboration is defined as having two or more people work together towards shared goals. A group of writers working together to create a story, or a defensive unit calling out formations to each other before the ball is snapped, or your morning meetings with your co-workers before the day starts; all of these can be considered collaboration. When people begin to collaborate on ideas and goals, inspiration is born. This is exactly what happened a few weeks ago when a group of Paragon Films' sales reps got together.
At Paragon we know that without our customers, we wouldn't be where we are today. We know that some things in the industry, such as technology, is changing and in fact, changing the way business can be done. Being at the front of this changing curve and delivering constant and consistent service is what we focus and work towards. Whether the change involves creating new products, services, processes – or a total reinvention of how the organization must look, operate, and position itself for the future – success dictates that the individuals impacted by change be involved in the change from the very beginning.
The many hours spent around this table with the Paragon reps not only produced ideas for individuals and Paragon, but it gave us a newer perspective on the impact we have and can continue to have with our customers. Whether it's from selling stretch film or writing an article for our blog, we understand how crucial it is to be in touch with our customers. Even in the tough times! Having goals, plans, and ideas that ultimatly help us in some of our tough times can be crucial.
Ask anyone who was there and they'll tell you that throughout the meeting, the customer was at the forefront of everyone's discussion. We know it's just not about selling stretch film but delivering something that is worth more - trust and value.
